"'Levende' means 'living room' in Norwegian so it should be no surprise that this dimly lit nightspot in the Mission features an ornate chandelier and cozy, overstuffed leather couches meant to evoke a home, albeit one where mom cooks fusion tapas and dad spins club music after hours; the eclectic small-plates menu features Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian influences and is served till 11 PM, but 'round midnight the food takes a backseat to thumping tunes and creative cocktails."
