In 1991 The Guiness Book of World Records decided to remove all alcohol-related feats of strength from its books, because of fear of any legal repercussions - they wanted to avoid culpability, should an individual harm himself or others while attempting to break one of these records. This is a bit ironic, because the GWR was first created to be used for reference in settling drunken pub debates. The majority of the records outlined below are from the 1979 edition, however, there are some more recent instances in which previous records were (unofficially) broken. We definitely think these feats should be brought back for the 2010 edition, because watching Big Black set a record for eating a couple of bananas is just ridiculous. If you have any feats that went unmentioned send them to info@sloshspot.com and we'll try our best to include them.
