Portrayed by John Ratzenberger, Cliff Clavin was the local know-it-all that everyone seemed to tolerate - if only for the fact that a bar is a public place. This couch-sleeping postal worker famously lost his ass in Final Jeopardy in the episode "What is...Cliff Clavin," and probably only had one true friend in Norm Peterson. Still, generations from now, people will unearth the written transcripts of Cheers and form a religion based on his obscure wisdom.
