5 Mocktails to Try Atleast Once

As much I love my cocktails, I enjoy mocktails from time to time. It is a good way to cut back on the alcohol and also include people who do not drink alcohol. Here are some of my favorite recipes.

1. Spicy Watermelon Mint

Give the sweet watermelon juice and refreshing mint and spicy jalapeno punch to make a lip smacking mocktail. This one remains on my favorites list.

Cocktail

What You Need:

  • 2 cups of cold water
  • 2 cups of chopped watermelon (seeds and rind removed)
  • 1 tbsp/ half wedge lime juice
  • ½ jalapeno, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Crushed ice (optional)

How to Prepare:

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and puree till smooth. Strain it, try to get most of the pulp out of the strainer. Add crushed ice in the glasses and add the drink. Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.

2. Raspberry Mocktail

This is a simple drink and is quick to make.

What You Need:

  • 2 cups of cold water
  • 2 cups of raspberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Crushed ice (optional)

How to Prepare:

Crush the raspberries in a bowl and add water, honey, and lemon juice. Add water to the concoction. Pour in a glass, add ice if you want, garnish it with a lemon slice, and serve.

3. Coconut, Cucumber, Lime, and Mint Cooler

A perfect summer drink!

What You Need:

  • 4 cups of coconut water
  • 2 cucumbers – sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup of lemon juice
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • ¼ cup of mint leaves
  • Crushed ice (optional)

How to Prepare:

Combine coconut water, cucumber slices, lime juice, sugar, and mint leaves and let the mixture chill. This being a cooler, has to be chilled for at least an hour or two before serving. You can also add crushed ice and serve. Garnish with mint leaves or lime slices.

4. Lemongrass Jasmine Iced Tea

A refreshing concoction to make for an afternoon party.

What You Need:

  • 4-5 muddled pieces of cut lemon grass
  • ½ cup of jasmine tea
  • ¼ cup of lychee juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ tbsp of lemon juice
  • ½ tbsp of vanilla-infused simple syrup
  • Ice cubes and crushed ice

How to Prepare:

Add everything with ice cubes in a shaker and shake well. Double strain the mixture and add ice cubes to a glass, and pour the mixture in the glass. Top the glass with crushed ice. Garnish with lemon grass and add a straw while serving.

5. Pineapple Cobbler

Cobblers never go out of style. It’s always a win!

What You Need:

  • ½ cup of pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp of strawberry juice
  • ½ tbsp of lemon juice
  • Club soda
  • Crushed ice or ice cubes (optional)

How to Prepare:

Add pineapple juice and lemon juice in a shaker. Shake well and strain the mixture in a glass with ice. Top with club soda. Float the strawberry juice on top of the drink. Garnish with a strawberry and your cobbler is ready to serve.
