The perfect holiday begins with a great location. And it’s no different for holiday goers who enjoy seeing the scenic routes traveling in a motorhome.

Once you’ve purchased the perfect motorhome, there are a number of things to take into consideration when choosing the best motorhome parking spot. Things like price, facilities, and accessibility are all important factors you should think about.

With that in mind, I have analyzed dozens of parking spots for motorhomes in the UK. With the important factors which I mentioned above taken into account, here are the top four parking spots for motorhomes in the United Kingdom.

1.  Bay View Farm, Cornwall

Recommended for: a scenic experience with reasonable prices

Situated in South-East Cornwall, Bay View Farm is a charming site with wonderful views over the water to St Giles Island. This small site is family run and extremely welcoming.

Large groups of people will benefit from the sites “camping snugs”, in which “you bring everything except the tent”.

There are plenty of amenities including hot showers, Wi-Fi, and electric hookups. And for the history lovers, the Eden Project is just 10 miles away.

Where to eat: The fishing village of Polperro is just minutes away, where you can buy fresh fish and other ingredients. A short walk along the coastal path and you’ll find Black Rock Resort, a friendly beach cafe with outdoor seating.

Price: Pitches are £12 in the winter and £20 in June. Camping snugs sleep two adults and two children and are £35 in the winter and £50 in June.

2. Concierge Camping, West Sussex

Recommended for: luxury pitches with excellent facilities

Up next, it’s Concierge Camping, West Sussex

Just 30-miles from Bognor Regis, Concierge Camping is a luxury touring pack where you’ll find 27 spacious and fully-serviced pitches.

Each one is framed with hedging and secluded for extra privacy. For a couples retreat, this is the perfect place to park your motorhome. Furthermore, these luxurious pitches are equipped with day living safari tents, equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining area, and log burning stove. Concierge Camping also welcomes dogs.

Where to eat: On-site shop selling locally sourced fresh produce. Or the local public house is just a short drive away.

Price: Pitches range from £35-£50 depending on the season.

3. Treen Farm, Penzance

Recommended for: a cheap and spontaneous getaway

Treen Farm, Penzance is the ideal place for activity lovers, as its just a short walk from Cornwall’s best beaches and the most popular spots for surfing. But that’s not all, the Minack Theatre with its open-aired auditorium is just one of the many attractions close by.

The site itself has easy access and is well situated in the cliff tops. Holiday goers will benefit from its on-site shop that sells all local produce. Showers, lavatories, laundry, and washing-up facilities are also available.

It’s worth noting that no pre-bookings are taken for Treen Farm, so if you’re thinking of visiting, I’d recommend having other options in the area.

Where to eat: On-site shop

Price: From £6 per adult and from £3 per children

4. Slapton Sands Caravanning Club, Devon

Recommended for: coastal views and village access

Last but not least, it’s Devon.

Slapton Sands Caravanning Club with its relaxed atmosphere is a match made in heaven for elderly holiday goers. Located on the heritage coast and just a quatre mile bus ride to the medieval town of Dartmouth, it’s perfect for sightseeing, too.

The site itself is in a rural setting and is enclosed by countryside. In total, there are 105 pitches, with a select few having views over the bay.

A unique selling point for Slapton Caravanning club is the weekly farmer’s market. In addition to this, there is an on-site shop, Wi-Fi, and a local public house. Dogs are also welcome.

Where to eat: The Village of Slapton is a 5-minute drive, where you’ll find local food shops selling fresh produce and a public house.

So, Which of These Is the Best Parking Spot for a Motorhome in the UK?

Well, that depends on a number of things, including your budget and requirements. Although some of these places have a number of features in common, if you look closely, there are a number of unique differences that suit a specific type of person.

Having said that, Concierge Camping is one of the best luxury pitches there is. And what’s more, it’s dog-friendly and full of excellent facilities.
