As the saying goes, “It’s not the size of the wave, it’s the motion of the ocean”.  Although originally a surfing term, this is now being used by men with tiny wieners trying to ensure that they make up for size with insurmountable skill. But if you’re referring to legitimate waves here, then below is a chart that will help you understand how waves are actually formed. And no, the trident bearing Mythological god Poseidon doesn’t really exist.
