Hanging out in the sun is likely to dehydrate you and then if you drink alcohol, the alcohol will be absorbed into the dehydrated bloodstream much faster, rendering you drunk before you can enjoy the drink. So make sure you stay in the shade if you are planning to be drink during the day.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER:

The best way to get a better buzz from your drinks is to stay hydrated throughout the drinking spree. Drinking water before and during the drinking rounds isn’t such a bad idea, as it slows the pace at which you drink, a notch, and helps to keep you sober and will also prevent you from getting any hangovers.

MAKE SURE TO EAT BEFORE PICKING UP THE GLASS:

Load yourself up on those carbohydrates proteins and fats to slow your stomach down. So keep eating real meal as well, while you drink. This will slow the pace at which your body absorbs the alcohol. The key is to never drink on an empty stomach.

TAKE A SPOONFUL OF ACTIVE YEAST:

Active Dry yeast has been found to be helpful in keeping drinkers clear-headed. So go ahead and take a teaspoon of yeast before downing every glass of alcohol. Yeast produces an enzyme called Alcohol dehydrogenase that helps in breaking down alcohol and results lower absorption of the alcohol in the bloodstream.

PICK YOUR DRINK CAREFULLY:

Avoid carbonated drinks or bubbly wines which have more alcohol content thus delivering more alcohol at once and making it all the more difficult for slower absorption of it in the bloodstream.

KEEP MOVING:

Best way to do this, is dancing to the music you enjoy. This will serve a dual purpose of keeping a check on whether you are too drunk to dance properly and also it will keep your mind off the next drink, thus giving you an enjoyable break between drinks.

If you hear your words slurring;  feel like the room is spinning around you or find it difficult to walk without stumbling, take a break from your drinks , sit and take some time out to gather your wits around you, drink  some water and solid food and then resume drinking.
