Women have always been attracted to baseball players. Whether it's their athleticism, high social status or - let's face it - the money, baseball's top stars never seem to have much trouble with the ladies. That said, some players clearly have a leg up on their teammates. Here are the hottest baseball players' wives who are being generating a lot of attention this spring.

In some cases, baseball players' wives get more media attention than their husbands. Exhibit A: Anna Benson. The supermodel wife of oft-injured pitcher Kris Benson, has generated more than her fair share of controversy. This includes showing up to a New York Mets' Christmas party in a low-cut Santa skirt. Many also speculate that her husband was eventually traded from New York when it came out that she might be posing for Playboy. We have no idea what is wrong with the NY Mets GM, but this makes no sense.

As the man who helped the 2004 Boston Red Sox win their first World Series in nearly a century, Johnny Damon hasn't been overshadowed by his wife quite as easily. But from the looks of her, it would not be a huge surprise if he was. Nicknamed by photographers, "The Stallion" for her muscular physique, Damon's wife Michelle carried on the proud tradition of athlete's wives who have appeared on the cover of the yearly Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Not bad, Johnny...

As the wife of scrappy utility player Mark Kotsay, Jamie has long held a reputation as one of the most beautiful wives in all of professional sports. Since becoming a couple, they have had two daughters (Grace and Sienna) and recently, a newborn son named Trey. But you probably wouldn't guess that from the above picture, or from some of the racier ones floating around on the internet.

It makes sense why McGuire retired, does it not?

They say that behind every great man is a great woman, and if Roger Clemens is (dubious?) the greatest pitcher of his generation, Debbie Clemens is exactly the caliber of wife one would expect him to have. (Of course, with recent revelations that Clemens carried on a long-term affair with country singer Mindy McCready, it may not be all rosy between Roger and Debbie these days!) Even though this picture is a bit older, she gets extra hot points because of the 1980s' one-piece she decided to don (above), which in some cases can be more boner-inducing than a textbook bikini.

Voted "baseball's hottest wife" in the Fantasy Baseball Dugout contest of the same name, Heidi DeRosa has arguably garnered more attention than her husband Mark. Even though his career as a second baseman and utility player for the Braves, Cubs, and Indians has been lackluster, we have to hand it to him for the caliber of tail he's been able to pull.

It doesn't get much better than being 23 years old, throwing a no-hitter for the Boston Red Sox, and dating 2008 Penthouse magazine Pet of the Year Erica Ellyson. While she and Clay Buchholz are not officially husband and wife, the fact that they are dating warrants Erica's inclusion among baseball's envy-inducing women. If you don't believe she deserves to be on this list, look at her picture again, and then try to say out loud that you are unhappy that we included her - won't happen.
