Bellini

Bellini

What’s in it? Peach nectar, fresh lemon juice, peach schnapps, prosecco wine, and ice. Oh, you can add champagne to the mix, too, if you feel like getting more alcohol in your system.

The name is taken from Giovanni Bellini, a Venetian artist from the 15th century. But it was Giuseppe Cipriani who created the mix back in the 1930s or the 1940s. Cipriani said that the color of the drink made him think of a Bellini saint whose toga was of that color.
